DANCE AND DESIGN
The art of dance and technology of the Web converge in extraordinary elegance at this entertaining, informative, and very beautiful Web site in New York City. It's hip. It's cool. It's real downtown design.

"...we are functioning primarily off our charm, wit and passion..."
In design, less is very often more, and designer Andrea Sferes' Web site Dance Online demonstrates this truth. Not minimalism, not too much, just enough. Great Web page design plus imagery, animation, features, reviews, lively interviews and exhibitions, previews and listings for dance in the New York City area, and more -- and it all just feels right. The Dance Online Web site is as carefully choreographed as dance for stage.

One of two feature articles for June 1997 is 3E, A Dance for Limited Space and Bandwidth. It might be one of the nicest applications of art and technology you will find this month. Dancer Sigal Bergman and artist Noah Stollman have combined their talents to create a truly delightful Web dance. The concept, design, and presentation for a Web audience is... just enough to be perfect in my view. Enjoy.

Note to A&T visitors: the 3E feature will be found in the Dance Online feature archives after June 1997.

Web designer and publisher
Andrea Sferes and her talented staff produce a Web site as fine as any to be found anywhere. If you design for the Web, see this site. If you are simply looking for an enjoyable encounter, set your controls for the heart of the sun and see this site.

Two of my Net finds this week are sent in by artist Carol Wickenhiser-Schaudt. Thanks Carol, you're terrific! Carol's award winning watercolor works can be found in A&T 03/27/97
