That's far,
like far out, cool, and perhaps, going far.

The Webbed Feats (great name) Web site is new, just online -- and far. Here you will find detailed plans for their inaugural event, Bytes of Bryant Park, a multimedia and multi-dimensional art performance to take place in New York City and on the Web on September 17, 1997.

"What makes this performance different is you -- the global audience. Your input over the course of the next 12 weeks will shape, form and determine the outcome of the performances."

Bytes of Bryant Park is the first of a series of real and cyberspace art performances directed by artist and choreographer Stephan Koplowitz.

Key to this ambitious venture is participation by a Web audience, whose input will become an integral part of a six-hour long performance in the park behind New York City's historic Public Library building. The live event will be simultaneously cybercast on the Web.

Koplowitz is taking a real chance with all of this as there are lots of unknown variables and factors that might affect his well laid plans. You have to admire his willingness to try, and even if the performance is only half as successful as the care and detail of the Web site, this project might be one of the most exciting and interesting A&T events of the year. Keep an eye on this one!

"...on September 17th, under the artistic direction of Stephan Koplowitz in cooperation with the Bryant Park Restoration Corporation, the whole world will be able to see it for free as it is presented live in the park and cybercast from [Webbed Feats'] site. The performance will take place at noon and continue until 6 pm [ET]."

You can participate! Send your visual, literary, and audio works to Webbed Feats. Visit their Web site for details.

Here is a creative project
for mind, body, and soul. An opportunity for all creative souls to participate, collaborate, share, and enjoy. This is truly the best the Web has to offer -- a generous spirit of shared creativity. Have fun with it... and go far!

In coming weeks, news and updates on the progress of this exciting project. Stay tuned...
