Doing the Web in Style
TED WARNELL

This week at Zn,
food for the info-hungry Web page developer in the form of sources for great information on Javascript, CSS, design, graphics, dynamic HTML, and even good old plain HTML!

If, like me, you have put off learning about exciting new Web development technologies like Cascading Style Sheets, wait no longer and look in at these information-rich resource sites. Here are two of the best for both beginners (like me) and seasoned vets alike...

Doing the Web in style is a matter of learning about the power and flexibility offered to us by some new technologies.

WIRED Magazine's
online embodiment HotWired is your first stop on this two-stop journey -- be sure to bookmark the sites as you will want to return often...

The HotWired Webmonkey site is loaded with first rate information in the form of feature articles and news, reference tables (laying it out nicely in one place), and better still, many comprehensive 'crash course' tutorials that even a novice can understand...

Webmonkey's Crash Courses
Learn the ins and outs of Web development... Webmonkey's crash courses cover subjects like JavaScript, stylesheets, and the design process, usually in just one week. USA

DevSearch
is a searchable database for Web developers. Via their simple (and advanced) search form you can locate documents of interest at Web sites of all of the major players, like Netscape and Microsoft, for example. Great!

The search is accurate, fast, and easy to use. Powered by the AltaVista search engine, it works just like... AltaVista... so, you already know all about how to use it.

DevSearch
DevSearch indexes only sites that are relevant to building Web pages. You can search all of the major Web developer sites from one easy-to-use interface. USA

DevSearch and Webmonkey
make it simple, and whether you are new to it all or an old hand here on the cyberfrontier, there is info of value to you at these great Web developer's resource sites. Look in.

With thanks to Zn friend Jim Andrews for these Web finds.
