Power Gardening
TED WARNELL

Carol Wickenhiser-Schaudt
is a good friend and a wonderfully talented artist living down in torrid Texas, USA. In a recent email, Carol tells me she is busy power gardening her corner of the world, cultivating more of those beautiful orchids she paints (we hope).

Power gardening -- nice phrase, Carol! -- Sounds like the order of the day all right, as summer is (almost) here in the Great White North (southern Alberta, Canada). Sounds like a plan to me, at least, to get away from the keyboard for a bit and just get down and dirty in the yard -- power gardening.

Yep. Gotta be the thing to do. So, takin' a break, Jake, and checkin' out the shades and spades. Dig it!

Before we log out, though... here are a few of my favorite sites on the Web with visual and literary delights to help keep your creative spirits high...
